Carrie J. Boden, Ph.D., is Associate Professor and Chair of the Occupational Education Program at Texas State University.

Dr. Boden holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Adult Education from Kansas State University, M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Wichita State University, and B.A. in English Language and Literature from Bethel College.

Her memberships include the Arkansas Association for Continuing and Adult Education, American Association of Adult and Continuing Education, and Women Expanding Literacy Education Action Resource Network. Dr. Boden McGill serves as a Member-at-Large for the Commission of Professors of Adult Education and as a Director on the Board of the Adult Higher Education Alliance.

Dr. Boden’s research is focused on teaching and learning strategies, mentoring, and instructional applications of technology. Her research has been presented at national conferences, such as the Adult Higher Education Alliance Annual Conferences, the American Association of Adult and Continuing Education Annual Conferences, and the Adult Education Research Conference, and international venues such as the International Literacy and Education Research Network Conference on Teaching and Learning.
