Aida A Nevárez-La Torre

Dr. Aida A. Nevárez-La Torre obtained her Bachelor's of Arts in English as a Second Language Education, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Puerto Rico and received her Master's of Science in Bilingual Education from the State University of New York at Albany. She completed her Doctoral Degree in Reading at Harvard Graduate School of Education and worked as an ESL and bilingual education teacher in Puerto Rico and the United States. She currently heads the Office of Multilingual Education at Fordham University in New York City and is the senior editor of the Journal of Multilingual Education Research, affiliated with the New York State Association for Bilingual Education.
