John E. Petrovic

John Petrovic is Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership, Policy, and Technology Studies at The University of Alabama. He publishes mainly in the areas of philosophy of education and policy studies, usually combining the two as in his "Aristotelian Defense of Bilingual Education" in the Philosophy of Education Yearbook. Petrovic currently teaches Philosophy of Education (including a version of the course he recently developed called "Seinfeld, Philosophy, and Education"); Multicultural Education (as Critical Pedagogy); Language Politics; and Democracy, Ideology, and Education. His articles can be found in a variety of journals including Educational Foundations, Educational Studies, Journal of Moral Education, Philosophy of Education, Language Policy, and International Multilingual Research Journal.
