STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

The Quarterly Review of Distance Education is a rigorously refereed journal publishing articles, research briefs, reviews, and editorials dealing with the theories, research, and practices of distance education.

The Quarterly Review publishes articles that utilize various methodologies that permit generalizable results which help guide the practice of the field of distance education in the public and private sectors.

The Quarterly Review publishes full-length manuscripts as well as research briefs, editorials, reviews of programs and scholarly works, and columns.

The Quarterly Review defines distance education as institutionally-based formal education in which the learning group is separated and interactive technologies are used to unite the learning group.

Distance Learning journal publishes manuscripts written by practitioners, for practitioners. Telehealth topics are of critical interest.

Manuscripts Wanted

Distance Learning (DL) journal and the Quarterly Review of Distance Education (QRDE) are seeking manuscripts.

Distance Learning is an official journal of the U.S. Distance Learning Association. DL is published four times a year, for leaders, practitioners, and decision makers in the fields of distance learning, eLearning, virtual schooling, telehealth, and related areas. It is a professional journal for those who are involved with providing instruction to all types of learners, in all types of situations, using telecommunications technologies of all types. Articles are written by practitioners, for practitioners. Submissions are peer reviewed. DL is in its 16th year of publication.

The Quarterly Review of Distance Education is a rigorously refereed journal that publishes articles, research briefs, reviews, letters to the field, and editorials dealing with the theories, research, and practice of distance education. Th QRDE publishes articles that use a variety of methods to produce generalizable results which help guide the practice of the field of distance education in the public and private sectors. The QRDE publishes full-length articles as well as research briefs, editorial, reviews and columns. Topics include distance education, eLearning, virtual schooling, and telehealth/telemedicine. The QRDE is in its 20th year of publication.
