Call For Chapters
BOOK DESCRIPTION:This comprehensive volume aims to serve as a valuable resource for superintendent licensure programs, offering insightful case studies and practical recommendations for future educational leaders. It is structured to provide a deep dive into the multifaceted challenges faced by superintendents in contemporary educational settings. Each chapter will focus on a specific superintendent case study, offering a detailed examination of the superintendent, district context, the problem of practice, the policies, processes, and procedures employed to address the problem of practice, and implications and recommendations. The editors invite chapter proposals that critically examine the School Superintendent’s Association (AASA) Decennial Study's (2020) four most time-consuming issues reported by superintendents: school finance, personnel management, conflict management, and superintendent and board relations as well as other post-pandemic problems of practice. Contributions may include superintendent practitioner pieces as well as university-practitioner partnerships with a focus on the superintendent’s perspective and voice to better understand their work.
