Contemporary Issues in Higher Education

In recent decades, higher education has been in a constant state of flux. Consider how technological forces and globalisation, for example, have changed the very nature of higher education. The COVID-19 pandemic has also revealed and accelerated certain aspects of higher education which were already in play: virtualisation, for example, and student employability. This book series, as intimated by its title, aims to explore contemporary issues in higher education. The first volume in the book series will be published in Spring 2022: The Internationalisation of Higher Education, co-edited by John D Branch of the University of Michigan in the United States, Marina Apaydin of the American University of Beirut in Lebanon, Michael Dent of Sunway University in Malaysia, and Otto Regalado-Pezúa of ESAN in Peru. Possible future volumes in the book series include:

• The branding of higher education
• The economics of higher education
• Financing higher education
• Student experiences in higher education
• Virtual exchanges in higher education
• Higher education hubs
• Technology and higher education
• The ethics of higher education
• Leadership in higher education
• Gender and higher education
