Journal on Contemporary Perspectives on the Sociology of Education
The Journal on Contemporary Perspectives on the Sociology of Education’s (JCPSE’s) mission is to provide a space for critical, innovative scholarship that explores educational inequities across the human experience. JCPSE’s focus is to elevate works that explore how various systems of race and/or gender-based oppressions shape the lived realities of individuals and groups of people within P-20 education. JCPSE will publish peer-reviewed research articles and essays that are critical, theoretical, methodological, and interdisciplinary in nature. Regardless of the discussed topic, each manuscript must include the historical and societal context of the issue discussed, the system(s) of oppression that connect and who is impacted as a result. JCPSE rejects conceptions of incremental change, our goal is to uplift manuscripts that are takes big swings at societal issues, meaning, intellectually innovative, and bold. Finally, JCPSE invites scholars, students, practitioners, and community members to submit their work.
