Contemporary Perspectives on Relationship-Based Leadership

This series is a follow on to the LMX Leadership series.

This book series focuses on the fundamental nature of leadership as a relationship between leaders and followers, who dynamically interact within social contexts. It will bring together scholars from around the world who are interested in the relational facets of leadership phenomena across multiple contexts, encourage critical approaches and comparative perspectives, develop techniques to enhance leadership training and development, and provide a comprehensive coverage of key topics and methodologies of relationship-based leadership. Books in this series will revisit the concept of “relationship” between leaders and followers, map existing theories and research strands and take stock of progress made. They will identify research gaps, integrate ideas and theories from other scientific fields to further stimulate discussion on relationship-based leadership perspectives and open new and exciting avenues of research and practical application. The intended audience of this book series includes academic researchers, university instructors and students, management and leadership development consultants, human resources managers, and generally readers who are interested in understanding leadership as a relational phenomenon.
